Home  Back to Top

Here I am again starting to talk about what has taken me so long to update my website.  Well, it is old news so lets just get into NEW news shall we?

I am helping out a friend, Chris Stell, in Studio 9 at Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa Park.  I am working there on Saturdays from 11am to 4pm till the end of the year.  Chris was gracious enough to give me a couple of her display cases for my jewelry and beads. So, if you are in the area, please stop by.  And of course if you are looking for beads or a gift you know where you can find them.  Chris does incredible fused dichroic glasswear & housewears. Everyone is so attracted to them when they enter the studio.  She likes bright colors as I do. Here is a link to her website to get a taste of what she creates.  www.chrisstell.com

I am still in the Art Glass Guild, Studio 25 at Spanish Village too so if you are in the village be sure to check them out.

This weekend, Oct. 24th & 25th, is the Fall Festival at Spanish Village.  I will be working both days in Studio 9.  There will be all kinds of art set up in the patio in addition to all of the studios. A great way to spend the day and of course if you are getting ready for the holidays!

Coming up Sunday, November 22nd is the Talmadge Art Show at the San Diego Women's Club.  This show has been around for many years and has a good following of artists and customers.  A good variety of art. A real no miss show. The address is:
2557 Third Ave.
San Diego, CA 92103
Hours: 10am-4pm

For more info and directions go to http://www.talmadgeartshow.com

Here are a couple of photos of some new jewelry pieces I have been working on.

The beads look orange and yellow here but believe me they are red and green!  Computers and my lack of knowing how to fix colors!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you soon!

I didn't think it would take me this long to get back into writing on my website.  My last entry was Oct. 8, 2008.  I said I was taking the fall off. Well, I took more than the fall off. But that is another story that is so boring now!

I am back at making beads and jewelry. I had my first show of the year last weekend at the Talmadge Art show in San Diego. It was fun to see everyone and be back at showing off my beads and jewelry.  I added photos of some new pieces below, so check them out.

This coming weekend is the semi-annual Art Glass Guild Patio Show at Spanish Village in Balboa Park.  It should be a great weekend to be at the park. I am looking forward to it and I hope you can stop by.  Over 35 glass artists! If you need directions or want more info go to: http://www.agasc.org/index.php?page=events

October 8, 2008

As most of you know, my Mom did pass on July 4th.  I am back home now and trying to get back into things.  I really enjoyed spending the months with my Mom and my sister Joyce and her family.  I really didn't want to leave.  Mostly, I didn't want to leave my Mom.  Interesting how these things work out.  I knew she was so ready to pass, I could see it.  I thought I was ready for her to pass too.  But when the time came I guess I wasn't.  I would love to still be in Minnesota and visiting her every day at the nursing home.

Thanks for all of your nice thoughts about my Mom. I really appreciate it!
